Juicy Air Fryer Hamburg Steak
Hamburg steaks bound with grated onion and cooked in an air fryer on bake mode. There's no frying pan and no stovetop, so it's easy, and the residual heat in the glass bowl after cooking is enough to make a ketchup-based sauce, which means fewer dishes to wash. Dusting the surface with cake flour creates a coating that seals in the onion's moisture and the meat juices, giving you a moist, tender, juicy result.

Instructions
Peel 1/2 onion (100g) and grate it. Holding the top of the onion against the grater keeps it from falling apart and gives you a clean grate.
0:53~5 minMince the piece that becomes too small to grate and add it straight into the meat mixture.
1:10~2 minPut the grated onion in a bowl, crack in 1 egg, and mix, breaking up the egg as you go.
1:19~2 minAdd 5 tablespoons of panko breadcrumbs and mix, making sure the egg and onion liquid soak thoroughly into all of the breadcrumbs.
1:29~2 minAdd 250g of ground beef and pork blend and 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and knead until the mixture turns sticky.
1:37~3 minTake one third of the mixture in your hands, slap it back and forth to knock out the air, and shape it into a flat oval. Make 3 in total.
1:53~5 minOnce shaped, dust the surface with cake flour. Working on plastic wrap or a cut-open milk carton makes them easier to flip and dust.
2:20~2 minThe dusted patties will bulge in the middle, so press a dent in the center with your fingertips and arrange them on the air fryer rack.
2:34~2 minSet the rack in the air fryer and cook on bake mode at 200°C for 13 minutes.
2:54~13 minWhen they're done, transfer the patties to a plate, remove the rack, and wipe up the excess fat left in the bowl with a paper towel.
3:18~2 minAdd 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2/3 tablespoon of water, and 2 teaspoons of sugar to the empty bowl, mix, and let the bowl's residual heat warm the sauce through.
3:42~3 minOnce the sauce is warm, pour it over the patties you set aside and finish with a scattering of dried parsley if you like.
4:01~1 min
