    Cut the sweet potato into 1cm-thick slices, then cut each slice in half lengthwise.

    Cut parchment paper into a 30cm square and fold it diagonally into a triangle.

    Spread the parchment paper on a heatproof plate and place the drained sweet potato on top.

    Drizzle with vegetable oil and toss to coat evenly.

    Add the sugar and soy sauce.

    Bring the front and back points of the parchment paper together, fold them over 3-4 times in 1-1.5cm widths, then twist both ends about twice to seal the packet.
